Surfing and bodyboarding in very cold and windy conditions can cause uncomfortable brain-freeze and even, potentially, leading to surfers’ ear – an infection of the ear canal.
Legacy have produced this 3mm glued and blind stitched wetsuit hood, which provides great protection and comfort. The super stretch durable neoprene used to produce the surfing hood retains flexibility and amazing warmth in the water. To further enhance comfort, the neoprene hood is designed to be as lightweight as possible and is manufactured using GBS seams, which reduces water infiltration. It also offers great protection from the sun and helps to reduce the risk of sunburn. Surfers looking to prevent ear infections and keep their head warm in cold waters should definitely put this piece of surf gear at the top of their agenda; it’s also a good way to stop your earplugs from getting knocked out of your ears by the pounding surf.
Free standard UK Delivery: (2-3) working days (apart from kayaks). For all orders delivered to UK mainland addresses. The cost of delivery is included in the product price you see.
UK Non-Mainland and Highlands Delivery: For some items which need to be sent with a courier, there may be a surcharge. Charges and delivery times will be stated in the checkout area when you select the destination.
We always make sure that delivery costs are as low as possible, so if your area does require a surcharge, we will have subsidised the actual cost of delivery and reduce it by the cost of standard UK delivery. So, when we include free delivery in the price of an order the delivery may cost us £5.00. If then our courier charges us £10.00 to deliver to Norther Ireland for example, we would reduce that by £5.00 and charge the Northern Ireland customer £5.00.
Express Delivery: Place your order before 2pm and receive your goods the very next day (UK Mainland only).
There is an additional charge for this service which you can select in the shopping cart. Express delivery is available for outlying destinations, but we can’t guarantee next day for some areas. Charges and delivery times will be stated in the checkout area when you select the destination.
Due to the size, weight and handling difficulties associated with kayaks, we are unable to provide free delivery (or included in the cost of the item).
Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver kayaks outside the UK, or to any offshore, highlands and islands addresses.
Kayaks can of course be collected from our premises in Truro, Cornwall. Just select Collection in the shopping cart and proceed to checkout. Please call to arrange a time as some kayaks are stored in our satellite warehouse, so may need to be brought to our main unit.
Most European destinations covered: Please add your item(s) to the shopping cart and select your destination. The cart will update with delivery cost and estimated times.
Express Delivery: Express delivery is available for most international destinations. When you select this option, the cart will update with delivery cost and times.
Destinations not available in the shopping cart: We can deliver to most destinations but your country or area, may need an individual quote with specific weight and size of the package.

We want to make returns as hassle and cost free as possible so, for the majority of our products, we have teamed up with Royal Mail to provide a simple online returns system, enabling you to get the item back to us easily and at no cost to you.
You have 30 days from the date on which the goods were received to return any item for a refund.
If you require an alternative size or other exchange for an item you purchased, we recommend placing a new order for the new item and returning the original item for a refund.
Please note – Amazon and eBay customers will need to pay postage on returns as this service is for website customers only.
*Restrictions apply – We offer free returns for most products from most of the UK, but please check the detailed restrictions on various sized items in the definitions and restrictions section to see if your order qualifies for free returns. You will also see if a product is eligible for free returns clearly shown on the individual product page.
For very large items such as hard SUP’s, we are unable to offer free returns unless the items are damaged or faulty on arrival. Please see details below.
Small returns: Packages which are less than 20kg and smaller than 61cm (L) x 46cm (W) x 46cm (D) e.g. garments, wetsuits, kayak trolleys etc.
Small items can be returned to us free via Royal Mail from anywhere in the UK. Please see the Royal Mail Returns (small items) section.
Medium returns: Packages larger than 61cm (L) x 46cm (W) x 46cm (D) but no larger than 130cm on any one side or over 30kg. e.g. iSUP packages, bodyboards etc.
To return medium sized items, you will need to contact us and we will arrange a free courier label for you. Please note, free returns for medium sized items are only available for mainland UK. If you are offshore, please contact us for advice before returning. There is further information on this in the Courier Returns (Medium / Large items) section.
Large items: Packages larger than 130cm on any side. e.g. solid surfboards, composite (hard) SUP’s etc.
We do not offer free returns on large items unless they are faulty / damaged on arrival. If a large item is unwanted you will need to arrange and pay for the return. We can however help with this, so please contact us for some advice on the best way to get things back to us.
We are unable to offer free returns on kayaks unless they are faulty or damaged on arrival. If your kayak is faulty or damaged, please contact our customer service team via email ([email protected]) and we’ll work with you to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible.
If the kayak is unwanted, it is your responsibility to arrange and pay for the return to our base in Truro, Cornwall. The kayak can be returned to us by a courier of your choice however, due to the size, weight and handling difficulties, couriers do charge a considerably larger fee compared to a standard small parcel.
Alternatively, if you aren’t too far away, you are more than welcome to deliver the kayak back to our Cornwall warehouse, based just of the A390 in Grampound, between Truro and St Austell.
If you are unable to find a suitable means to return the kayak to us, we can arrange a collection. However, this will be double the original shipping cost as we are charged for the driver to collect the item from you and for it to be delivered back to us. So, the return of a single kayak will cost £90 and tandems £120.
The kayak must arrive back to us in its original, perfect condition in order for us to process your refund therefore, it is your responsibility to make sure the kayak is suitably wrapped. We recommend wrapping it in the same way it was dispatched to you so, take care when unwrapping it initially.
Before returning a kayak to us, please contact our customer service team so, they can give you full instructions and tips on the return.
If you are returning an item because it doesn’t fit or it is unwanted, you have will need to pay the postage back to us if you are located outside the UK.
If you have received a faulty or incorrect item and are based outside the UK, please contact us before returning the item. Any return postage costs cannot be reimbursed if you post back a faulty or incorrect item at your expense or without contacting us first.
International Exchanges (Non UK Delivery addresses)
We are happy to exchange items for international customers but due to the postage costs involved, we do need to charge postage for the replacement item, the cost will be the same as the original outgoing postage. We prefer to collect postage via a PayPal money request and will contact you to arrange this.
